If you're trying to break free from someone in your life, or let's say, a situation, limiting belief or un-wanted feeling, the last thing you should do is pull away. Imagine that you have a living cord between you, like an umbilical cord. You've been sharing your energies with this 'other' through this cord. Information, love, needs, feelings etc have been flowing both ways. Pulling or pushing puts painful pressure and tension on the connection. You might think you can snap this connection. You can't. You might think you can cut it, but you can't. You probably try to switch off the thoughts and feelings, but you can't. You're a human, not a machine. The cord can stretch like a bungee, giving you a temporary feeling of freedom as you gain some sense of distance from them. But your position hasn't really changed. You are still connected. You will either get stuck and stranded in the dark, cling on to something or someone else ahead of you for comfort, or bounce right back to where you started. People say time heals. It doesn't. It just buries and hides what we choose not to focus on. And there's only so many drugs or medications you can take to keep numbing the pain. Wherever there is something precious being avoided, there is pain. Pain remains, awaiting something powerful, awaiting that you give enough to dissolve the connection peacefully, to resolve and restore the harmony on both sides. Ultimately, whether it's this year or next year, this life time or the next life-time, for your greatest joy, peace and wellbeing, you will have to turn and face the very thing you want to get away from. 'Getting rid' of what we don't want doesn't work. Like the rubbish we throw away in the bin every day - it might leave our house of bricks and mortar, but it doesn't leave our home of this planet. The responsibility is simply shifted, so we get space from it to carry on with our 'normal' lives. But all that rubbish is meanwhile building up and polluting the very organism upon which we depend. It's kind of crazy, yet we do it. We cannot escape our rights of ownership and stay in denial. If you're in pain it's because you left something valuable behind. Something very valuable of yourself; something also worth honouring and being grateful for. You must go back and reclaim your power. You must go back and regain responsibility and act from consciousness. You must go back and look your enemy, your mother, father or lover in the eye, and see the soul that helped you to grow. See the soul that wants you to evolve. See the soul that helped you to remember and know; That you are the love you are looking for, and You hold the keys to your freedom. And when you have reclaimed all that was truly yours, and when you have given back what is truly theirs, the ties are undone, with reverence, and an honouring of the truth, then the situation will depart from your reality in peace. Love cannot be dumped like rubbish. Nor can it be pushed away and denied or hidden. It demands our fullest attention. It hammers down our doors and walls to be let in. Loves voice must be heard and all things be humbley forgiven. Take into your heart the only thing that truly lasts forever, surpassing all else; The love that was, is and always will be, yours to own. We all want more Love ~ we all need it.
It’s the food of the soul. All suffering, complaints and hurts are born from the lack of Love, when we’re not getting enough of love, or seeing enough love around us in our environment. Wherever we look there is a starving, a striving, a need for more; a world in tatters & tears. We’re in short supply it seems, and what we do have going around just isn’t enough to satiate the hungry. We make great efforts to aid, rescue and save our fellow man, to make peaceful bonds with our father and mother, and to create lasting unions with special others. Yet in a world population that’s growing steadily more lost and insane from the pressure of living in dying economies, fractured families and war-torn states, our efforts can easily feel hopeless and in vane. Can we give enough to make The Difference without chasing our tails and feeling drained? Is our love hitting the mark? We know that Love itself is an infinite resource, and that love is all we need, so what’s going wrong? Why is our giving not making ends meet? We might reason that if everybody loved their neighbour and made it their duty to make 1 other person happy, it could eventually come full circle and everybody would be loved. However, it’s more likely to breed an ever-increasing dependency rather than fostering the life changing qualities of reclamation, ownership, independence and empowerment needed for a revolution that is only born from taking responsibility. To learn to love oneself utterly and completely is the hardest task. It’s much easier to direct our good intentions, well wishing helpfulness and compassion to others, especially when we deem them more in need than we are. But ultimately, since we do not yet fully understand what it means to truly love, could it be that we are giving less than the full package? Before serving a meal we first need to be taste it. What if we are serving a great idea of love that is perhaps surreptitiously loaded with the toxicity of self-denial, low self worth, and other such insidious and un-delicious things that we’ve inherited from our ancestral history? Is it possible that we so acutely feel what’s wrong in the world that in our attempts to make right, we actually just rehash and re-serve what we think is the opposite to what we’ve experienced? Unconditional love is energy of, and unto itself. It is not linear or dualistic. It is omnipresent, divine and whole. It exists everywhere and underlies all other personal or universal conditions placed upon it. Love is perhaps something that needs to be uncovered and realised, rather than idealized or theorized, as we tend to do. And how would we know when the love we strive to give is unconditional? Well, if we tested it before we offered it, we would know. We would tell how it feels if we first loved ourselves. We could practise the evolutionary art of bringing love to our own hidden demons, closeted grievances and buried shames. We could shed the light upon the pain of our own hearts, the wounds of our own pasts and learn to love what even we deem impossible to love of ourselves. In cleaning up our own act of love, learning to relate and bond with ourselves unconditionally, may we then be qualified to be a true servant to the world. Loving ourselves to our deepest, darkest caverns is how to awaken the creative dragons who sleep where we fear to venture. Unimaginable treasures await, gifts we didn’t know we had, hero stories in the making, inspirations and our secret aspirations are exhumed to illuminate the world. In feeling totality and peace within we become warriors, capable of making shifts in epic proportions. From co-dependency, exhaustion, depression and lack we might transition to the inter-dependent, empowered, conscious individual we were born to become, contributing and fulfilling our greatest potential. Loving unconditionally that which we humanly are, by that may we ascend, and know what it is to love. Then may we become the leaders of change that we seek to be. Then may we become love masters; conscious beings having original conscious thoughts, making conscious actions, conscious decisions and loving responses to a world gone mad without love. We are the Love we are looking for. copyright 2016 www.taraloveperry.com |
